Rosario is a "live" jock, no doubt about it. What I see with both Joel and Bejerano is youthful ethusiasm and a competitive spirit that works for them most times. However, I sometimes see them both get a little too aggressive when they're challenged on an early lead and this compromises the horse's ability to finish strongly. I'm sure they will both learn to be more patient as they mature. Laffit Pincay had the same issues. Pinkey was probably at his very best at the end of his career.
ReplyDeletethe best jockey when he applies himself is victor espinoza. unfortunately he seems to be disinterested most of the time.
ReplyDeleteSpot on assesments from GP and Bigtowner. What you want in a jock is competence and the ability to ride to a horse's style. Don't forget about Jose Valdivia.
