Winby5 answers Questions on Top Jockey Joel Rosario... A hearing, originally scheduled for Wednesday at Fairplex Park, has been postponed until Oct. 2 at Santa Anita, Rosario’s agent, Vic Stauffer, said Saturday.
Racing is currently being conducted at Fairplex Park, which fills the gap between Del Mar, which closed on Sept. 9, and the Oak Tree meeting at Santa Anita, which opens Sept. 30. Rosario is not riding at Fairplex.
Rosario was aboard Cedros in the 11th race on Sept. 6, a maiden race at 1 1/16 miles on turf. Cedros, a 4-1 shot in the field of 10, battled outside another rival for the early lead through the first half-mile of the race, then, according to the race’s official chart, “fell back some leaving the second turn and angled in, continued along the rail in the stretch and was edged for the show.” He finished a head behind the third-place finisher, Never.
Cedros is trained by John Glenney and is owned by Glenney and his wife, Kim.
According to Glenney, he complained to Del Mar’s stewards about Rosario and Stauffer after Stauffer approached Glenney the morning after the race and asked if Cedros was for sale.
“I thought that was highly unusual,” Glenney said in a telephone interview from Kentucky, where he returned after Del Mar’s season ended. “I had asked Rosario to make sure he kept Cedros outside horses. It wasn’t a good ride. And then to get the offer the next morning? I’ve never heard of something like that before. I asked the stewards to look into it. If they saw something, and decided to pursue it, so be it.”
The complaint filed against Rosario cited him for violations of three racing board rules. One pertains to unsatisfactory rides – “no jockey shall take his horse back without reasonable cause . . . or otherwise ride in a manner which is inconsistent with using the best efforts of the horse he is riding,” the rule states in part – and another is titled “conduct detrimental to horse racing.”
No charges have been filed against Stauffer. Mike Marten, the spokesman for the racing board, could not say if Stauffer was even being investigated. “The CHRB doesn’t confirm or deny investigations of this sort,” he said.
Stauffer on Saturday said, “Both Joel and I will not say anything until after the hearing.”
In addition to being the leading rider at Del Mar this summer, Rosario topped the standings at the Hollywood Park meeting earlier this year. Wb5 is behind Joel all the Way...The Top Rider

race can be won, With thinking outside the Box...A few speed horses will

likely go to the front and nurse themselves right out of the race...thus setting

Live Horseracing in Southern Cal is down to 4 Days a Week...Wow...Makes you
feel like half of the week is missing....Winby5 needs more racing Days...We feel that
serious horseplayers can't survive with these conditions....What about piping in the
other tracks that are running in the USA, a couple of Days when live racing is
down .....Horse Handicapping Contests to be run by the track, say $50.00 Bucks
to enter every other Sat. Win and Place format....Only.....or Win only format..
Winby5 could easily Host and Run these Tournaments at Hollywood Park...and
then switiching with the different simulcasting locations....I Think it could Work

The Orleans in Vegas , run 1 day Tournaments many times and the turnout is
amazing...We have a heck of alot more people, here in LA, & Orange County... Something

Winby5 Hot News -- Kentucky Derby winner Mine That Bird will make his next two starts in the Aug. 1 West Virginia Derby at Mountaineer Park and the Aug. 29 Shadwell Travers Stakes at Saratoga, trainer Chip Woolley announced, and then went on to say that He and the Owners had been considering a number of different options for Mine That Bird, the gelding who was second in the Preakness and most recently third in the Belmont Stakes. The Grade 2 West Virginia Derby is a 1 1/8-mile race with a $750,000 purse. The Grade 1 Travers is run at 1 1/4 miles with a $1 million purse. The ultimate goal for Mine That Bird is the $5 million Breeders' Cup Classic on Nov. 7 at Santa Anita, before which the gelding may or may not have one more race, said Woolley. undecided Friday at Churchill Downs. Winby5 has the Latest News on Rene Douglas..."He's in excellent spirits," said Doreen Razo, the wife of Arlington jockey Eddie Razo, who is close to Douglas. "His pain level has dropped a lot. He's tired of being idle. He's ready for the next phase."Douglas developed pneumonia after having surgery to repair broken vertebrae in his neck and to decompress and fuse vertebrae lower on his back, the injury that affected his spinal cord. Douglas fought off the pneumonia and was taken off a breathing tube last week, and outside of the lower-body paralysis, he has continued to make steady progress in his recovery.Douglas was hurt when his mount, Born to Be, was forced out, clipped heels at the top of the stretch, fell awkwardly, and rolled over onto Douglas. No questions asked." Add to that his similar guarantee before the Preakness aboard a different horse just about three weeks ago. Calvin Borel is apparently very happy to be back on Mine That Bird, whom he guided to a Kentucky Derby victory. He worked the little bay gelding Monday morning at Churchill Downs and promptly predicted a victory in the 141st running of the Belmont Stakes on Saturday.
“We’re going to win it, no questions asked,” Borel said.
Mine That Bird went a half-mile in 50 seconds, and clockers caught the son of Birdstone in splits of 13.40 seconds, 26 and 38.40, galloping out five furlongs in 1:02.20 and up in 1:15 in preparation for the mile-and-a-half Belmont. Well if you've noticed!! The Races are getting tougher and harder to find the winning Horse.
Last week in one particular race with 11 horses, there were 2 horses @2:1, there were 2 horses
@5/2 and 1 horse @3:1......A total of 5 horses in one race with about the same odds...You
must know exactly what you are looking for, to get the winner home.....Now day, you must
have the latest info. possible. Jockey, Trainer, Horse capabilities, Track condition, Late Works,
the right distance for the work. Inside, outside, front runner, come from 5 lengths out, come
from way back....Jockey.....does he ride better on the front or from behind. Does he come on
the inside or does he go to the outside when coming home....If Running 6 1/2 Turf, Has he
run down this course before.....VERY IMPORTANT.....WB5 takes all these factors into

last few Works.....their last work must be from the gate..Horses with the last 2 works
from the gate will pop and go. Try to get a horse that has worked 5 furlongs...and we are talking
about horses with no races...Please note that any horse with a race has an advantage.
